As a co-leader of the Toronto Tableau User Group (TUG), he fosters a vibrant community of data enthusiasts, sharing insights and best practices. Adrian's Tableau journey began ten years ago, and he's been continuously amazed by the tool's evolving features and capabilities. With over a decade of experience, he's been a trusted consultant to top companies in the region. He dabbles in sports cards and collectibles but his main hobby is home projects and fixing things.Īdrian Zinovei is a passionate Tableau Developer based in Toronto, Canada. He loves playing sports with his kids and being in nature. Most of his free time is spent with his family. He lives in suburban Kansas City with his wife, 3 children and dog (still barks a ton). Adam earned a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting and a Master’s in Accounting and Information Systems from the University of Kansas. In February 2022 Adam added a Tableau Data Analyst certification with the Early Bird designation (1 of the first 1000 to pass the exam worldwide). Now more prepared and taking the exam at a testing center (no barking) Adam earned his certification on his second attempt. He was discouraged to fail his first attempt to become Tableau Desktop Certified (he swears his dog barked the entire exam). ![]() Along the way Adam decided to make his Tableau skillset official by earning a certification. The group quickly became popular and has developed a web of Tableau power users and novices working together at the FDIC. ![]() Looking for a way to collaborate and share ideas remotely, Adam started the FDIC TUG (Tableau Users Group) in June 2020. With the entire reporting lifecycle at his fingertips from database to inbox, Adam helped Tableau popularity explode at the FDIC. A couple years later Tableau Server arrived at FDIC which motivated Adam to finally learn SQL. Tableau made this all incredibly easy while also making it look incredibly cool. Adam soon realized his true professional love was efficiency and replacing manual with dynamic. A colleague (for whom he is forever grateful) said “we have this new thing called Tableau…you should try to figure it out…it would be a good feather in your cap. Like most new employees he was looking to stay busy his first few weeks. He began working for the FDIC in August 2012.
